ADA INFORMATION
The Guest Services department at American Airlines Center strives to provide excellent service to all our guests, including those guests with disabilities and special needs. American Airlines Center recognizes the needs of persons with disabilities and has met or exceeded the requirements of compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and Texas accessibility mandates. American Airlines Center provides a full range of accommodations for guests with disabilities to ensure their safety, comfort and enjoyment of our events and facilities.
This guide is intended to highlight some of the features available at American Airlines Center for guests with disabilities. If you need assistance during an event, you may visit Guest Relations in the Plaza Concourse at section 104, or in the Terrace Concourse at section 326. Assisted Listening Devices

American Airlines Center is equipped with a “Listen” listening system. Receivers are available for all events and provided free of charge with a form of valid identification. Guests who are interested in this service should see a representative at Guest Relations in the Plaza Concourse at section 104 and in the Terrace Concourse at section 326.

Concessions

The concession stands and restaurants in the building have been designed with all guests in mind. Accessible countertops and bar counters are at a height that is comfortable for everyone.

Disabled Parking

Parking spaces for disabled guests are located in Lot F and/or Lexus Garage with a pre-paid parking pass, credit and/or debit card on a first-come/first-serve basis. The vehicle must display a disabled parking placard or license plate. Parking rates in these areas vary, depending on event and parking area. We recommend pre-purchasing parking prior to arrival at ParkWhiz.com. If you have pre-purchased, leave your window rolled up as you approach parking attendant. Parking attendant will scan your mobile parking ticket on your phone through your window.

DART – Public Transportation

Dallas Area Rapid Transit offers transportation services for guests with disabilities through the Paratransit Division. For information concerning these services visit the Public Transportation section of our site or contact DART at 214-515-7272.

Emergency Services

American Airlines Center personnel have been trained to assist in emergency situations. Areas of Rescue Assistance are available and visual/audible alarms are located throughout the building for use in the event of an emergency. To reach a guest during an event you may call 214-665-4299.

Escorts

American Airlines Center is happy to provide escorts inside the arena for guests with special needs. This service is free and can be requested through Guest Services. Escorts are available upon request at all entry points. To minimize your wait, we suggest that you make arrangements for this service prior to the event you are attending by calling 214-665-4210 during normal business hours or e-mail guestservices@americanairlinescenter.com. During event hours, please call 214-665-4535. So that we may assist multiple guests, please be aware that our staff will not remain with you during the event, nor are you allowed to remain in the wheelchair for the duration of the event.

Nursing Room

American Airlines Center provides a dedicated nursing room (also known as a "Parent's Room," "Mother's Room," or "Nursing Mother's Room") across from the Modelo Gold Lion Bar & Grill on the Plaza Level. This space includes an ottoman, outlet, side table, and privacy curtain with a locking door available to use. Gender neutral / family bathrooms are also available on each level to utilize.

American Airlines Center offers other convenient services including wheelchair assistance, lost and found, and stroller and wheelchair check-in. These services can be obtained by contacting a Guest Services representative.

Seating

American Airlines Center offers accessible seating in an integrated setting on all levels of the building. Accessible seating on the floor is subject to change depending on seating configurations for various events. Please contact an American Airlines Center Box Office representative at 214-665-4797 with any concerns or questions. Please contact Guest Services at 214-665-4210 during normal business hours for information concerning electrical outlets and wheelchair or walker storage. During event hours, please call 214-665-4299.

Service Animals

Trained service dogs are welcome inside the building and must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times. Under the ADA, Title II and III, a service animal must be a dog (or miniature horse) that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Comfort animals do not have rights under the ADA and are prohibited. Animal relief area is provided in Lot F.

Sign Interpreters

American Airlines Center can provide sign language interpretation for guests with hearing disabilities. Requests for this service must be received 30 days prior to the event and be approved by the performer. Wheelchair & Companion Seating

American Airlines Center provides wheelchair and companion seating with appropriate sight lines on all levels. Patrons purchasing accessible seating may purchase one (1) accessible seat and up to three (3) companion seats adjacent to the accessible seat. Depending upon availability, seats for additional guests will be located as close as possible to the accessible space.
American Airlines Center is committed to working with patrons on a case-by-case basis to adequately accommodate individual needs. All ticket sales and exchanges are on a first-come/call, first-serve basis and will depend on ticket availability. There is no guarantee that any companion tickets will remain unsold and available.
Please contact Guest Services or the Box Office with further questions. Be advised that Center personnel reserve the right to take appropriate legal action against individuals who fraudulently obtain wheelchair & companion seats.

Wheelchair Storage

For guests who wish to transfer to a seat from their wheelchair, we will store your wheelchair at Guest Relations. Our staff will make arrangements to return the wheelchair to you at the end of the event, or any other time you would prefer.
